A Nicholson Civil Project

Pinkenba QLD

Project Overview

Civil and stormwater infrastructure works at an operational fertiliser facility in Pinkenba, Brisbane. Scope includes bulk earthworks, bio-retention basin, asphalt pavements, kerb works, and stormwater drainage — all delivered across 5 staged packages while the facility remained in full production.

The civil scope was delivered across five construction stages and included full site establishment and sediment and erosion control management, bulk earthworks with a net export of approximately 1,369m³, construction of an engineered bio-retention basin complete with filter media layers, subsoil drainage, ag lines, and landscaping in accordance with Brisbane City Council guidelines, asphalt pavement works to BCC and TMR standards including base course, sub-base, and primer seal, concrete driveway and kerb and channel construction, stormwater drainage installation including 375mm pipelines, connections, and boundary discharge points, and adjustment of existing masonry blockwork retaining walls to suit proposed finished surface levels.

The project required close coordination with structural, hydraulic, electrical, and landscaping trades across a constrained industrial site, with strict compliance to BCC environmental requirements, SWMS protocols, and Keane Group HSE standards throughout.
